Nothing better than a hot herbal tea to warm up on cold winter days! How about making it yourself with organic herbs? Here is a recipe based on thyme, savory and cinnamon, with pleasant and comforting flavors, but also with many health benefits.

Zoom on the salty

Savory is a plant that offers a very pleasant peppery and spicy flavor. It is used in the kitchen in various dishes (soups, grilled meats, cheeses, etc.) but also in herbal teas. Its health benefits:

– it is rich in antioxidants that protect against cardiovascular diseases, some cancers and other diseases related to aging
– promotes digestion, calms intestinal spasms and acts against bloating and gas
– it has antiseptic and antiviral properties, which make it particularly effective in case of a cold or sore throat.

Focus on the thyme

Thyme is an extraordinary little plant, both gustatory but also rich in medicinal virtues. Do not hesitate to use it in your infusions (it is advisable to take a thyme tea at the end of the meal. The ideal: with honey and lemon) Its health benefits:

– antibacterial, thyme is an excellent remedy for all problems affecting the nose and throat. It is often used as a remedy for flu-like states. Thanks to its expectorant properties and antitussive character, it can relieve colds, coughs and bronchitis.
– also stimulates the gallbladder, which facilitates the expulsion of bile and participates in the detoxification of the liver.

Focus on cinnamon

Being a powerful anti-inflammatory, cinnamon is particularly suitable for relieving muscle and premenstrual pain. It also acts against digestive disorders (bloating, constipation, aerophagia, indigestion, etc.).

Drinking cinnamon tea also helps you lose weight! This thermogenic spice has the ability to increase body temperature, promoting the elimination of fats. By consuming cinnamon, we more easily burn excess fat in our body.

This recipe is made with organic salted leaves from France (Biopartenaire label) and organic thyme from France from the Herbier de France brand, and with real organic cinnamon from Ceylon Cook (scientific name: Cinnamomum zeylanicum) from Sri Lanka, not to be confused with Chinese cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia), much less subtle and very sweet!

Did you know ?

The Cook (organic spices and herbs) and L’Herbier de France (organic herbal teas) brands belong to the Arcadie company – located in Méjannes-lès-Alès in the Gard department in the Occitania region.

Since 1990, Arcadie’s mission has been to discover the flavors and virtues of spices and organic plants while respecting people and the environment. Most Cook and L’Herbier de France products are therefore labeled BioPartenaire, a very demanding organic fair trade label.
