A new adventure

Alice is convinced that the growing popularity of cosplay offers real opportunities. “Today I no longer see a convention without cosplay. Rouen’s Chibi proved it recently with an acclaimed French Cup stage. Alice was present and “very happy” to participate in “such a well-run event”. Performances still occupy a large part of her activity. “I realize that I’m so good on stage and that the stage makes me feel good! Plus, it’s a communication power: people see you and don’t forget you. »

“Today I prefer kindness”

His latest performance at the All Stars, which brought together the crème de la crème during the 2022 French Cup finals, particularly soured spirits. The jury awarded him their favorite prize. She played Miss Fortune, a pirate captain from the League of Legends license, who took hold of adversity, hardship, demons of her own and took the mob with her.

A message of hope and a way to move forward by embarking on a new adventure. The cosplayer has left behind her personal struggles, but also her incredible Pike costume, which seemed to cling to her skin, bringing her glories and controversies. “Livanart, you are now Miss Fortune. I no longer have the same motivations. Before, I needed recognition, to prove something. Today I rather desire benevolence and I get a lot of it in return. »

Paving the way for more professionalisation

For Livanart, trips, orders and requests for consultancy are multiplying. “Having brands use my work has helped me gain trust. It is a guarantee of quality. He also designs costumes for others, such as Street Fighter 6’s Chun-Li recently made for Kayane during Paris Games Week.

And because he’s the type to explore all possibilities, the world of theater catches his attention. “I’ve heard that some stage managers are impressed with cosplay. If there is demand, I would go to theaters that realize that people like me can make very visually beautiful costumes, even if you don’t necessarily go through traditional sewing school methods. »

Alice works from home

Completely self-taught, Alice for now makes her own costumes and accessories in her apartment. “It’s not ideal, but the workshop is coming very soon! She’s also working on a website where you’ll find her work in several categories, including one dedicated to highlighting other cosplayers. “I would like to do what PADG (Pierre-Alain de Garrigues, ed) does with the voice actors. He presents them so that people creating events say to themselves, ‘Here, I’d like to receive this.’ »

Being on all fronts, it wants to demonstrate to enthusiasts that “anyone can get to where we are” and pave the way for greater professionalism. “The goal is to structure things a bit so that even if there are very few elected officials, people can go down this path knowing which path to take. »
