The owner has over 20 years of dining experience at a Marriott in Seoul and it shows in each of his dishes. Everything is freshly prepared on site like mandoo, gimmari, dupbap, bbq dishes, bibimbap and more. Favorite of the winning team to be better known.
It is in the heart of Mile-End that you can savor authentic cuisine at La Belle Korea. The menu consists of dishes one would find in any household such as dolsot bibimbap, bulgogi and dubu jjigae. Portions are generous and the atmosphere is warm.
Omma is located in the entertainment district and opened in 2017. It is a cozy, festive and family-friendly restaurant, where you can have great comforting meals. Favorites include the famous dolsot bibimbap, sesame rice, bulgogi, mandoo and pajun. To visit and revisit many times!
If you want generous portions, a mastery of flavors and traditional options, head to Little Seoul at Mile-End. Open for lunch and dinner, you can find some of the best Korean dumplings in town, they make great green onion pancakes, a comforting jjigae, and bibimbaps that are well worth the stop.
Do you know this adorable little restaurant on Mont-Royal Avenue?! Hoya restaurant is open for dinner serving ddukbokki, sundubu and their famous fried chicken. They also make their own homemade kimchi if you want to try and buy it!
On rue Rachel Est, this Korean restaurant that allows you to bring your own wine is not unheard of. On the menu is a wonderful combination of traditional food with family recipes with a modern twist. On weekends, book your table and take advantage of their tasting menus that will allow you to have a total experience.
This is one of the first Korean restaurants in Montreal, opened more than twenty years ago, they are definitely one of the city’s landmarks. In the dishes are traditional versions of the famous: bibimbap, galbi and jjigae and haemul pajeon. An address to put on your list whether you are in NDG or not.
As the name suggests, they specialize in bibimbap and make great ones! To be savored on site in a cozy setting or in Laurier Park in the summer. The open, minimalist kitchen works wonders, and at affordable prices. We highly recommend accompanying your meal with an iced tea or homemade lemonade. Don’t hesitate to take your kimchi home at the same time, they prepare it on the spot!
A little gem on Mackay Street, Chez Bong is an authentic place where you’ll meet mostly Koreans on site. You can savor generous and traditionally concocted dishes with a panoply of flavours. We especially like their jjajangmein, japchea, bulgogi, bibimbap and fried chicken. The decor is sober, but we go there for the excellence of the food!
