What day, what time and on which channel to watch women’s football

Throughout the year, the French team plays matches. Apart from the big competitions (World Cup, Olympics or Euro), the Bleues only play 2 or 3 games during the exchanges. They can play in major competition qualifiers or friendlies.
When do the Bleues play?
France play during international breaks. For example, Les Bleues will play the Tournoi de France in February. They will then play three games, against Denmark, Uruguay and Norway.
On which channel to follow the French women’s team?
It is the M6 group that owns the TV rights to Les Bleues. For big competitions, however, the situation is different. TF1 or France TV (for the Olympics) can also broadcast the French women’s team matches.
There are many major international competitions to follow in women’s football. We find in particular the World Cup. It is held every four years. It will take place again this year 2023, in Australia and New Zealand! The women’s euro also takes place every four years. It should be noted that the next edition will be held in 2025.
The Olympics remain very important for women’s football as well. The next edition will be special for Les Bleues, as it will take place in France in 2024.
On which channel to follow the major international competitions?
Broadcasters can switch from one major competition to another. In general, TF1, Canal + and M6 compete for the TV rights to the World Cup and the Euro. Only the Olympic Games are broadcast on the various French TV channels.
It is the elite of French women’s football! Arkema D1 brings together the 12 best teams in France. Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain have been sharing trophies for many years. However, there is a stake at all levels.
In addition to the race for the coronation, third place allows you to compost your ticket for the next Champions League qualifiers. Not to mention that the last two Arkema D1 teams are relegated to the second division.
When is D1 Arkema played?
The championship is played over 22 days. Each team plays each other twice (once at home and once away). The calendar is revealed before the competition begins. For the 2022/23 edition, D1 Arkema started on 10 September 2022 and will end on 10 June. Generally, days are played on weekends. The schedule may change from weekend to weekend.
However, we are heading towards a meeting on Friday at the end of the afternoon (6.30pm) or early evening (9pm). So, four posters on Saturdays that are released simultaneously at 2.30pm. Finally, one last poster is held on Sunday. Most games are played at 12.45pm.
On which channel to follow D1 Arkema?
Canal+ owns the TV rights for D1 Arkema. The matches can then be broadcast on the Multisports channels or on Canal+ Foot.
Since the 2021/22 season, a completely new format has been implemented in this Women’s Champions League. In the past, the competition started in the round of 16. From now on we are entitled to a group stage after qualifying. The 16 best European teams are divided into 4 groups of 4. The first two of each group advance to the quarter-finals. Then, we have the right to double confrontations up to the final, which is played on one match.
When is the Women’s Champions League played?
For this 2022/23 edition, the qualifying phase ran from 18 August to 29 September. The group stage has already taken place, from 19 October to 8 December. For knockout matches, they start on March 21, 2023. Finally, the grand final will be held on June 3 or 4 on the side of Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
In order not to clash with the various European leagues, the Women’s Champions League matches take place in the middle of the week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday). They then take place at 18:45 or 21:00. Only the semi-finals and the final will be played at the weekend!
On which channel to follow the Women’s Champions League?
The matches are broadcast on DAZN. Keep in mind, however, that this broadcaster has signed a partnership with YouTube. It is therefore still possible to follow all C1 matches live from the platform.
European leagues continue to improve in European football. This is especially true for the Women’s Super League (England), La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy) and the Bundesliga (Germany). Enough to offer us a much more competitive Champions League for some time…
When do the different European leagues play?
It is in the same period as D1 Arkema that the other major European leagues are played. And this also applies to meetings! They almost always take place on weekends. As for the schedules, this can vary from one league to another.

However, we must not hope to follow the matches of all the other European leagues. At the moment they are not broadcast in France.
