In collaboration with the Taylor Herring agency, Subway has called on the artist Nadia Michaux, a master in the art of creating small works of astonishing realism and inspired by the Kawaii universe, very popular in Japan. To worthily announce the arrival of Teriyaki steak fillets on the chain’s restaurant menus, the designer had the task of making the smallest sandwich in the world with a size of 2.2 cm, which is 12 times smaller than its original version . For two days he thus reproduced from scratch a tiny Teriyaki Steak Sub (which is the nickname given to the brand’s sandwiches) in clay where you can glimpse thin slices of meat, tomatoes, red onions, peppers and melted cheese in the heart of a white bread considered customers’ favourite.
#9 | Julien ChauvenetFoodies Dijon, world burger champion at Sirha 2023
His 100% BFC burger with sweetbreads, mortar and blackcurrant was crowned the world’s best burger at the prestigious SIRHA in Lyon this weekend: we went to see restaurateur Julien Chauvenet, of Foodies Dijon, who has just stepped off his bubble! pic.twitter.com/epdhBm9xWb

Julien Chauvenet wins the “World Burger Contest” at the International Restaurant, Hotel and Food Show (Sirha) in Lyon. The creator of the Foodies restaurant, burger restaurant and food-truck in Dijon is not at his first attempt, because he had won the title of “Best Burger in France” in 2021, but here we are talking about global recognition. The great pride of the young chef is to win this world title with local products. “I bet on the morteau sausage which was snacked on, but also declined in chips and powder. I added veal sweetbreads and a blackcurrant ravigote sauce. Everything that appears in this burger is produced within a radius of 50km around Dijon I even wondered if a point if we weren’t too chauvinistic, and in the end that’s what pays off!”
